You know, Jennifer Hudson has been looking really good lately. I know she is the new spokesperson for Jenny Craig and she looks pretty fabulous.
I hope she releases a song that’s both a popular hit and telling of her vocal ability.
Maybe I should go on Jenny Craig…
Update: it seems it may be Weight Watchers that gets Jennifer. Either way, she looks amazing.
I love this movie. “Easy A” is witty in an intelligent but accessible way. It’s smart without being pretentious, catering to a teen audience with an appreciation for clever humor. Much like “Superbad” or “Mean Girls” or even “Juno,” “Easy A” reminds me of what kids are actually like nowadays. There are a lot of great lines in this movie. Plus, Emma Stone is quite pretty, in an unconventional way. Girl’s sexy with charm. She looks great in her “whore couture” in this movie. Her character’s so cool. So are her parents! Must watch.
A is for awesome.
As you may or may not know, I love music artist Pink. I always have.
She stood out when she first came out as an R&B diva and then later unleashed her inner rockstar. Throughout the years I’ve enjoyed her music and her attitude. She’s just so no-nonsense and tough. It’s a fusion between feminine beauty and this sort of rough masculinity she exudes. I love how she’s open about her political views (check out the song she wrote for the president), her stance against conforming to a typical dumb bimbo or other stereotypes (yes, she’s a feminist), her efforts to promote empowerment, independence, strength, self-love and self-respect. She’s sexy and has killer lungs; she’s just an amazing vocalist. Her raspy belting is intoxicating. So yes, I’m a Pink fan.
Well! She released her newest music video for her latest single “Raise Your Glass.” Check it out:
**UPDATE: I think it’s great that Pink is pregnant! It was in the media that she and Christina Aguilera and Pink were friendly about being moms and even talked about setting up a playdate for the kids. Ugh. So cute. Also, it seems that VEVO doesn’t want the “Raise Your Glass” video on my blog, SO you can check out Pink’s video on YouTube 🙂
Today is my friend Jessica’s birthday! I’m so excited for her! We’ve been friends since we were kids. She’s one of my besties, so I hope she enjoys her day.
Love ya boo! ❤
You know, there come a time ever year where children and adults alike are able to explore magic and wonder and everybody gets to play pretend and dress up in costumes and either round up their annual candy stash or follow the “slut rule” and party.
Well, my friends, this year I’m sad to announce I was without a Halloween costume. Last year I followed the slut rule by prancing around West Hollywood, down Santa Monica Blvd in my underwear dressed up as some sort of pharaoh-prince. This year, since I didn’t have a costume, I decided to dress up as a straight guy. (You can check out a picture on my Twitter page.) People were greatly concerned and almost outraged at my costume, but rest assured, kiddies, I’m gayer than ever.
I feel since I have kept under the radar this year, I have to make a comeback with a bang next year. SO! I’m revealing what my plans for next year are. I realize it’s a long time from now, but once you learn what exactly I intend on wearing, you’ll understand.
Boos and ghouls, next year I will follow the slut rule. I will gladly receive help from whoever wants to make this slutty dream come true. My 2011 Halloween costume will be inspired by one of Miranda Kerr’s Victoria’s Secret runway show looks. I present to you: Madame Butterfly.
Yes, I too will metamorphose into a beautiful butterfly. I’m pretty sure it’ll take me a while to crete a really quality replica.
To really get the full effect of the look, watch the video above. Right around the 1:20 mark, you can see Miranda and these wings in action. (By the way, am I the only one who absolutely loves the Victoria’s Secret show? Those girls are so sexy! I want to be just like them. Haha)
I’ll probably wear some sort of boy-short underwear and some gladiator sandals with the wrap up like Miranda. I’m so excited!
So there you have it, kids. I hope that by next year I will be able to spread my wings and flutter!
So it seems our lovely Lauren Conrad has been busy designing and working on her latest line which has been released and sold exclusively at Kohl’s. She originally designed a collection that got her feet wet in the fashion world and I’m glad she’s decided to move in the direction she has. A lot of people may not have taken her very seriously as a designer, but her latest collection, I think, really proves she should be designing clothes [on top of everything else she has going on].
Although I don’t shop at Kohl’s, I know a lot of young girls who may watch the Hills or just be a Lauren Conrad fans do shop at Kohl’s. What it says to me is that it’s accessible. It’s not an intimidating designer approach. It’s tangible and it’s a smart move, Miss LC.
I love that Lauren has decided to model her own clothes. Another smart move. The collection is pretty cute and current. It follows trends without being too much or going too far. It looks comfortable and chic and it’s a style women of a wider age group can wear.
Much like Lauren Conrad, I have hopes of branching out and building an empire. Shh, let’s keep between you and I, though. 😉
You can check out her entire collection and find out more about LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s here.
Hey guys! Thanks for your help in voting what I should read next. I decided to listen to you and so I’ve begun to read L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad. I’m actually really enjoying it. It’s a fun teen read and I like the characters already.
I should start some sort of online book club. Wow, I just got ten times nerdier. haha
Has anyone read it already? Does anyone want to read it with me?
Happy reading. 🙂
Have you guys seen the September issue of Vanity Fair? Lady Gaga looks a little less than sober but still great. There are some beautiful shots inside.
Gaga apparently talks about doing cocaine and possibly off a Bible? She also talks about celibacy and her vagina. Kids, I wish I were making all of this up. lol Well, she mentions how she hopes her fans will not try to emulate her during her lows. Whether Gaga is coked up or not, she looks quite iconic in the shoot.
I like to read.
Okay, so it’s not like I’m gonna trade in my TV for a Barnes & Noble credit card, but I enjoy reading. Usually during the year I have a lot of reading to do for school. So during the semester, I don’t really do a lot of leisure reading. I have maybe a few weeks before the fall semester begins and I’d like to read something I’d find interesting or entertaining.
So as I was on a quest to find my next read, I think I narrowed down my choices to the next few:
- My first option is to read Lauren Conrad’s L.A. Candy [and probably Sweet Little Lies soon after that]. I have been DYING to read her book, not because I anticipate it’ll be a great work of art or because I’ve heard great things about it or even because for some reason Lauren will magically suddenly be my friend and we’ll be shopping together at South Coast Plaza. No! I’m just curious to read what it was like for her to film “The Hills” and have some sort of insight to the madness! Plus, it’s a teen read, so it’s bound to be fun and satisfy my teenage schoolgirl side.
- It’s no secret that I love Kathy Griffin. So naturally, I’ve been itching to read her book Official Book Club Selection [and possibly her mom, Maggie’s book later…TIP IT!]. Here are my reasons why I want to read this book: (1) I love the cover; Kathy looks great! Plus, it’s funny – tiara, red dress, sash…uhm she looks like she’s winning some sort of freakin’ beauty pageant. Loveit. (2) I love the title. It’s funny! Oprah, Kathy’s love/fear is unparalleled. (3) It’s Kathy Griffin and I’m gay. I think it’s in my contract. I HAVE to read it. How else will I graduate?
- Chelsea Handler’s Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is my third option. I started watching “Chelsea Lately” on E! and let me tell you, Chelsea’s a funny lady. Her cynical sort of dry humor totally works for me. Plus, she has a little person as a sidekick, Chuy. She loves vodka, sex, and being in your face. Loveit.
- And then there’s Sarah Silverman’s The Bedwetter. As obnoxious and inappropriate Sarah Silverman may be, I think she’s funny and I’m interested in reading what she has to say and see what her life has been like. “When God gives you AIDS (because you know, God gives you AIDS)…make…lemonades.” LOL Oh, Sarah!
So there you have it guys! Help me choose! What do YOU think I should read next?
Help me choose! Vote NOW!
If you think I should read something else, leave a comment. Let the voting begin!
It seems that Kim Kardashian and I have a lot more in common than I thought. No, I’m not referring to our large behinds, fake [fierce] hair, or perfectly bronzed skin. No, I’m also not referring to our cell phone obsession, fame crave, or ethnic ambiguity. I’m talking about her lovers! No, we haven’t dated the same guys, but I mean c’mon…Reggie Bush? Okay, here we go…
Oh…my…JESUS! This is EXACTLY what I mean. See that moment? That’s what I’m talking about. A little déjà vu.
This just looks like something I’d do.
Reggie Bush, why are you so attractive? Why?!!
Déjà vu aside, her taste in men (more specifically, THIS man) is impeccable. Kim and Reggie have split up, which is fine by me. I know Reggie’s received a lot of heat over something related to USC and football…I don’t really know (care), all I know is that he’s a major-league hottie.
So there you have it. Kim Kardashian: long-lost twin? Perhaps.
