Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory” music video came out a few weeks ago and if you haven’t seen it, you’re probably better off not. It was tragically underwhelming. It felt like a half-assed, thrown together cheap gimmick with little thought. There’s no story; it’s monotonous and uninspiring. The worst part is that I really love the song itself.
Check out the video below: [if you must]
Someone created a far more enjoyable video with a gay-marriage message attributed to the anthemic melody. Check it out:
I want to say this to Lady Gaga: GET IT TOGETHER, BITCH. xo
The new season of The A-List: New York premieres tonight on LOGO.
The housewife-type reality show is based on the lives of some fabulously dramatic gays in New York. I watched the first season and I was hooked. Some people don’t like reality TV. Others don’t like TV at all. Well, I’m all about it. Throw in some hot gays and token black girl? It’s bound to be fabulous.
Premiere’s tonight on LOGO at 10:00PM. Check out the LOGO website for more details.
In the past few months I’ve been re-watching The L Word with a few of my best friends. I absolutely LOVE this show. It’s on my top 5 favorite TV series of all time. I love the way it’s written, the acting, the directing, the weird lesbian music…I love it all. The show is about a group of mostly lesbian women who live in LA and their relationships. There are solid characters and they all grow throughout the seasons so much. Plus, hot lesbian sex. Who knew I’d be so into it?
I know I’ve mentioned the Real L Word on here before, the reality spin-off, but there’s nothing quite like the original. It’s just so good. Do you watch? The women are simply beautiful. Which one is your favorite character? I’m probably mostly a Bette with some Shane phases. You should watch and find out what that means…
I found this amazing artist João Paulo Tiago (Joapa). He’s created these Lady Gaga “chibis.” [You can enlarge the image by clicking on it.] Which one’s your favorite?
You can check out the artist’s deviantART profile here.
I feel like RuPaul is my homegirl. I started watching RuPaul’s Drag Race when its second season was on the air and I haven’t missed an episode since. When I was a teenager, I used to have a negative notion of what drag queens were and I didn’t want to be directly associated with drag queens. Well, I’ve come a long way, honey! Listen up, gays: embrace your inner queen! The time has come for your to lip-sync…for your LIFE!
I found these tee’s on Logo’s online shop. You can check ’em out here.
Btw, there’s more to come on RuPaul’s Drag Race, so keep posted.
You can also watch all three seasons of RuPaul’s drag race on the Logo website for freeeee!
Oh, and one more thing: DON’T F*#K IT UP!
I mentioned a couple days ago how our culture is increasingly fascinated with wealthy superficial housewives. Well, gays and gals, LOGO (a gay TV network) has launched it’s own reality version of the housewife mania, except with wealthy fabulous gay socialites. I believe the producers of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” are doing “The A-List: New York.”
“The A-List” premiered a couple weeks ago and although I didn’t watch it when it premiered, I’ve been watching it online each week. The cast includes photographer Mike Ruiz, as well as other somewhat known gays like the guy who dated Lance Bass and the guy who dated Marc Jacobs. Either way, it’s funny and sassy and some of these guys are easy on the eyes.
I nominate Brazilian model Rodiney Santiago as the cutest. He’s so cute with his little Brazilian accent; he may not be the brightest gay in the bunch, but he’s cute as a button. A sexy shirtless button.
“The A-List: New York” airs Mondays on LOGO. You can watch episodes on Logo’s website.
